It seems EV lease and financing deals are already improving notably in 2023. That said, it might be safe to assume that most deals will never go back to the way they were before the pandemic. At any rate, if you’re going to buy or lease an EV this year, at least you’ll be appreciated of what manufacturers are advertising promotions.
While some brands haven’t yet published their manufacturer-sponsored leasing and financing offers this month, we like to get this article out as soon as deals begin to publish. It’s our hope that you can use this article to get a basic idea of ​​manufacturer-sponsored offers. However, you may be able to work out a better deal with your local dealer. At the same time, you could pay much more than the advertised incentives suggest.
Almost every leasing and financing deal we’ve found this month so far is the same as or better than last month’s. As 2023 progresses, automakers will continue to release new EVs and ramp up inventory, which could eventually lead to a growing number of even more competitive offers.
Some electric vehicles are already available with relatively appealing lease deals, small discounts, and/or reasonable financing rates. Some cars are available with a combination of these offers. Not all deals are equally appealing, but we’ve included them for comparison, and we’ll be working to add more throughout the coming days.
Tesla has been cutting its prices all year, so its vehicles have been more affordable than ever. Moreover, the automaker is providing information on its website about which cars are eligible for the newly revamped US federal EV tax credit, and how much they should qualify for. This is also the case with some other automakers.
Keep in mind that if you choose to lease instead of buy, the tax credit can help you at the time of the transaction. Plus, you won’t have to worry about whether or not your personal tax situation allows you to take advantage of the credit.
When you lease a new car, the tax credit goes to the lender and is often applied against the lease to offer the buyer a discount. Thanks to some recently discovered loopholes, leasing may mean a larger credit for some EVs. Leasing a Tesla Model 3 or Tesla Model Y may now prove cheaper than ever before. Bmake sure to go over all the details related to the tax credit before signing any paperwork.
Nissan Leaf deals haven’t been as appealing on the 2022 and 2023 models, but they’re still often better than rivals’ offers. the Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV Bolt always have appealing lease deals available.
We suggest checking out Hyundai and Kia for some of the best EV deals available each month. We’re talking about cheap leases (sometimes with $0 down), low APR, and reasonable cash bonuses. If you need to get into a compelling electric vehicle with the cheapest payment possible, the Hyundai Kona Electric or Kia Niro EV are some of the best options at this time.
Keep in mind that deals aren’t available in all markets, and some have specific restrictions, so check with your local dealer for details on what’s available in your area. The best deals typically apply to people with excellent credit ratings. Moreover, the best manufacturer-sponsored incentives are often reserved for returning lessees, as well as automaker employees, family and friends.

There are additional incentives out there. You just have to take the time and do your homework. Some automakers are still offering deferred payments, even if it’s not noted above or on their individual websites.
